Notes

Who knows this week ... Georgia Tech reclaims the top spot this week with their win at Clemson. Virginia jumps 7 spots to #3 with their 16-13 comeback win over North Carolina in overtime. It's hard to believe that after their 52-7 loss to USC and a 31-3 loss to Duke that Virginia is in the driver's seat to win their first Coastal Division title. The Coastal Division eliminator in Atlanta this weekend looms large.

How do our Power Rankings compare to other bloggers? Gobbler Country has the Eagles as the #1 ACC team in his Power Poll this week. HD agrees with our #1 team this week and has the Eagles at #3.

ESPN's Mark Schlabach is hedging and picking Florida State now as the favorite in the Atlantic and to win the conference. We're not so convinced that Florida State can successfully navigate their tough slate of games remaining. His dark horse in the conference is Maryland. Bruce Feldman likes Georgia Tech to win the conference.

Who's the best in the ACC? CBSSports.com blogger J. Darin Darst says forget Maryland, Florida State, or Georgia Tech ... how about Boston College?

Polls

Boston College, Blogpoll. Blogpoll, Boston College. CBSSports is still tabulating this week's blogpoll ballots, but early indications are that BC will crack the Top 25 for the first time this season. We are currently ranked at #22.

BC also is ranked #23 this week in ESPN's College Football Power Rankings and the CBSSports.com 120.

Just like Tech, the hard part of the schedule for FSU has yet to come

I know you guys really want UVA to do well, but seven spots for an OT win?

Seriously?

BCMIKE- read power rankings as team you would least like to play next week. This is not ranking the ACC teams by resume like we do in our blogpoll ballot this time of year. UVA has clearly turned things around and this week's win validated their last few.

Who really wants UVA to do well? I don't care. Who would I most like to play in ACCCG? Probably Georgia Tech to get some revenge and coming from Atlanta to tampa they should put fans in the seats.
