Brian: I was at the Garden to watch the Boston College Eagles to shut down the Vermont Catamounts, 4-0, en route to another Hockey East tournament championship. The Eagles came out of the gate slow in the first period, but John Muse kept them in it, ending the game with 29 saves and a shutout. The Eagles heated up in the second period and that's all they needed to notch their 8th Hockey East tournament trophy (and 3rd title in four years). BC has now won 8 of 24 Hockey East tournament titles, a remarkable achievement.
The tournament MVP was Hobey-hopeful Nathan Gerbe who narrowly beat out BC netminder John Muse for the award. All-tournament honors went to Gerbe, Muse, Brennan, Ferriero and Sneep.
Congratulations to York and the team on a solid win.
On to the NCAAs ... Go BC!
