Brian: Happy 4th of July ... err ... 3rd of July. If you are reading this, you should already be out BBQing and downing a 12 ounce - or six - of your favorite American beer. Imports are for traitors and Redcoats this weekend. Your US beer of choice in the comments section below, please. I nominate Yuengling, although sadly you can't get that out here in Chicago.
We out early for the holiday weekend. Have a great weekend with friends and family. Back Monday with more headlines. Go Eagles!

For once in my life, I'll support something Maryland related!
Natty Boh - As always, from the land of pleasant living
Any beer from Long Trail is the best.... I prefer the pale ale myself!
Yikes! So many to choose from...
I'll take the cheap way out and specify...
Sam Adams Boston Lager -- my favorite "I'm out and it's available just about everywhere" American brew.
Shiner Bock -- when you're watching a game and want a tasty beer that's not going to put you out by the 4th quarter because I'm on my 8th....
and....
Boulevard Brewery's "Bob's '47", a munich-dark lager that improves with each sip you take. Deliciousness in a bottle that will also knock you on your arse.
Brian, you should be able to have limited access to Boulevard products out in Chicago (Blvd is out of KC). Do yourself a favor and don't waste any time on Goose Island, they have pretty crappy beers, IMO.
I made sure to drink some Rogue American Amber this 4th... very patriotic!
Just abut 60 miles from the Mothership Yuengling and boy did they taste greatthis weekend.
I do miss Narraganset though!
Natty Bos in cans, is available for about 10 Bucks in Delaware.
Happy Post 4th to all!
In Chicago you gotta drink Old Style.
Agreed about Long Trail IPA. The Long Trail Ale is everywhere, but the IPA is their best offering, bar none.
My favorites are Anchor Steam, Goose Island Honker's Ale, Sam Adams, and I have to agree with Christian that Rogue Brewery makes some mighty fine beers. Only had 3 beers all weekend and they were all local brew pub beers.
OH, I forgot about a recent favorite...Dogfish Head's India Brown Ale. So tasty...I'm salivating just thinking about it.
