  2. Florida State (7-2, 4-2)
  3. Georgia Tech (7-3, 4-3)
  4. Virginia Tech (6-3, 3-2)

  10. Clemson (4-5, 2-4)
  11. NC State (3-6, 1-4)
  12. Duke (4-5, 1-4)

Notes

North Carolina is our new #1 with their Yellow Jacket beat down this past Saturday. Carolina needs to win the rest of their ACC games as well as get some help in the form of a Virginia Tech Hokies loss to make it to Tampa.

Florida State holds at #2 after dispatching Clemson last weekend. The Seminoles outscored Clemson 21-10 in the second half.

Maryland drops from the number 4 spot to #9 because their defense was exposed in Blacksburg. The turtles are who we thought they were?

NC State and Duke swap positions as Tom O'Brien and the Wolfpack get their first ACC win of 2008. NC State is a much better team than its record indicates. Currently, the combined record of their opponents is 72-37 (.661) and they have only played two teams with sub .500 records (4-5 Duke and 4-5 Clemson).

Players at this one Boston poker club went ballistic when Roy, the bartender switched the TV on and it was the North Carolina game. Apparently, other than the poker bets, many people at the bar put bets on the basketball game too. It was a funny scenario, because the poker stopped and everyone watched the live feed.

This Week

Virginia Tech at Miami (Thursday) ... Duke at Clemson (pillow fight!!) ... North Carolina at Maryland ... Wake Forest at North Carolina State ... Boston College at Florida State

OFF: Virginia, Georgia Tech

I would actually put VT ahead of GT. At least I'm honest!
