  1. Virginia Tech (5-1, 2-0 ACC)
  2. Georgia Tech (5-1, 2-1)
  3. Wake Forest (4-1, 2-0)
  4. North Carolina (5-1, 1-1)
  5. Boston College (4-1, 1-1)
  6. Florida State (4-1, 1-1)
  7. Maryland (4-2, 1-1)
  8. Miami (3-3, 0-2)
  9. Clemson (3-3, 1-2)
  10. Virginia (3-3, 1-1)
  11. Duke (3-2, 1-1)
  12. North Carolina State (2-4, 0-2)

Notes

We aren't dinging the Yellow Jackets too much for their 10-7 win over Gardner-Webb ... yet. Georgia Tech needs to take care of business in Death Valley this weekend. However, Virginia Tech takes the week off and jumps the Jackets for the top spot, because Coach Jags said so.

The order of the rest of the top 6 remains unchanged.

We move Maryland back up to 7 from the 11 spot with the Terrapins having the week off. Doesn't make much sense but we dinged them enough for their embarrassing shutout to Virginia. Maryland is like a box of chocolates ... you never know what you're gonna get.

Clemson drops two spots to #9 given everything that is unraveling for the Tigers ... the end of the Tommy Bowden era, offensive coordinator canned, starting quarterback benched, James Davis in tears. It's mass chaos in Tiger land.

This Week

We have a full slate of conference games. Florida State and North Carolina State (Thursday) ... Wake Forest at Maryland ... Georgia Tech at Clemson ... Miami at Duke ... North Carolina at Virginia ... Virginia Tech at Boston College.
