They did it in the late 90s when I was there (may have started then, there was tons of wierd old stuff), and they were doing it on Saturday, and I assume every year in between.

Some really nice stuff was out this year, but some of it too big, some of it too expensive.

I sorta assumed it had been picked over by the undergrads in the previous few days.

I could have gotten a pair of sick BC bball shoes for $20, but they were a half size too big.

The sweats were really nice, shorts were okay, plenty of authentic game-worn jerseys of players no one has every heard of (so maybe sideline worn or media day worn). Size 3XL & 4XL winter coats that were insanely cool and insanely warm and would cost $400 at a place like EMS were going for cheap. Some really nice long sleeve shirts that you'd see athletic trainers wearing.

Overall, the gear would improve tenfold if we'd get Nike instead of Reebok, but still some good stuff.Erikhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10852682232912278307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7012441349157663851.post-81951807718401539212009-04-29T09:23:00.000-04:002009-04-29T09:23:00.000-04:00They do have a sale of gear at the spring game. P...They do have a sale of gear at the spring game. Problem is with 2,000 people there it doesn't quite bring in the big beans. Plus it was shut down by halftime - leaving money in my wallet instead of in the sweaty palms of Gene.

So many obvious ways to make it better. You have bookstores; it's not like you have to hire extra people for this extra merchandise to just sit around a store to be bought. Maybe there are rules about selling gear with former student's names on them, etc. that we don't know about? I don't know. Either way, there's tons of apparel without names that just sit around. Hopefully at the very least the school donates them and gets a tax deduction of some kind.conlonchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12199055648750423099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7012441349157663851.post-91275206739993774892009-04-29T08:14:00.000-04:002009-04-29T08:14:00.000-04:00Brian,
